Awesome drop in upgrade..

This part dropped right into my Mil-Spec Colt 1911 without any fitting. However, to make it operate a little bit more smoother, I did some minor touch-up with 150 and 400 grit sandpaper to remove sharp edges and casting marks. Also needed to trim the grip on this firearm a little bit to prevent interference. Perfect, flawless operation!

Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry..

The stock slide release on my Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry was difficult for me to operate with my thumb without radically changing my grip because, as a woman, my hands are smaller than the typical mans hands. Installing the extended slide release required some slight modifications because it barely hit the grips. A very slight beveling with a file allowed it to slide in with no interference. It made a HUGE difference. I can easily release the slide now with NO change in grip. I will install it next on my Kimber Pro Raptor II

Extended Slide Release - Up-Grade..

Just received and installed this extended slide release on my Kimber SS Pro Carry 45 acp. Perfect fit and perfect functionally! Makes mag changes faster and more efficient. I took a few extra minutes to polish the piece and it looks great on the pistol. The appearance is secondary to function, but it cant hurt that it looks good at the same time. Bottom Line - a SOLID Up-Grade to the weapon.

Fixed My SR1911..

Did not like the OEM Slide release. This piece is perfect. My RUGER SR1911 required fitting. The back tab was a little too thick. I had to file the tab to clear the left inside rail of the slide. About 20 minutes to strip and do the work. I LOVE this slide release, Finish and ergonomics are 10 stars!

Great product..

I got this extended slide release to install on my Colt Officer .45. It dropped right in without any fitting. However, my left grip was a little too tall and the slide release hit the top of the grip. A little work on the top of the grip with a dremel tool and it works wonderful.

fantastic product !..

love wilson combat products. i installed this on a colt talo new agent 9mm, yes a 9mm. i did just a very little and light filing and in about 30 seconds later popped right in the 9mm. works flawless and locks up perfect every time also clears the stock grips. THANKS BILL FOR YOUR GREAT PRODUCTS!!!

Great aftermarket piece for any 1911..

Installed this into my Kimber Pro Carry II. Was a perfect fit, no fitting required. The factory slide release was too low profile for me to actuate without changing my grip. This one bridges the gap. Still low profile but just adding that extra length lets me hit it to chamber a new round after a magazine change. Sits perfectly atop the grip/plunger spring housing when its down too. Also doesnt interfere with a two-handed thumbs forward grip. Perfectly ergonomic. Thanks Wilson Combat.

Makes magazine changes lightning fast..

I purchased the 7s for my Kimber stainless Ultra Carry II. After a day of practice shooting, I have cut down my magazine change time by at least two seconds. The part fit great right out of the box, and lies flat along the grips, out of the way and snag free. The is just another example of how Wilson Combat makes parts of exacting tolerances, fit and finish.

My favorite ext slide release..

Installed in a PT1911 without any work at all, locks open on every mag just like it should...very happy with this product. Will be installed on a custom Caspian build this summer and have two on other guns. The extension works perfect for my smaller hands, I can hit it without reaching.

After purchasing a very used slightly abused 1978 model Colt Commander, the first thing that came to my mind was Time to start ordering from WC . Not so drop in for my 1911..

Not a drop in fit when you have laser grips installed on your 1911. The extended portion of the slide release will not fit over my grips. The pin is also a little long out of the right side of the frame by about 1/8 in. Love the advantage of the extension with normal grips installed.

Helped Tremendously!..

I ordered this slide release for my Wifes Colt Government Series 80. She had a hard time releasing the slide with the stock release. When I received the release I installed it in her gun with ZERO issues. No fitting whatsoever! As soon as she held it her thumb was able to reach it and release the slide without changing her grip. This is a very functional part and I would recommend it to anyone I know! I will be installing one on my CQB very soon! Thank you Mr. Bill Wilson for a fine quality part.

Great Part, Great Service..

Easy to Install!..
